Paths That Lead: Computer Arts Graduate Showcase 2009 - Visual Theme

Created for Computer Arts Graduate Showcase 2009 'Call for entries' literature, I was asked to create a visual language that symbolizes the point of graduation in one's artistic academia entering into the world of art and design. The artwork represents a new beginning, the next step in one's artistic/design career.
As a result, I created two artworks that when they are combined, tell a narrative story purely based on visual elements.
MYX

The artwork shown here is what will theme the MYX brand. The idea behind this piece is to represent "mixing". Made for a place to serve assortment of beverages and foods, I felt the piece needed to be composed organically with keeping simplicity in mind.
In February I will be on location to work on the installation for the MYX interior. More details to come soon.
eepmon for XBox 360 (Austria)

I was contacted by XBox 360 Austria interested in getting me on board for a collabo.
The collaboration involved XBox 360's 4 themes (Blockbuster Games, Music, Sports and Family) for their upcoming campaign that will be used throughout the rest of summer and fall of '08 in Austria.
The task was to create the branding for each of these themes. As a result, 4 art pieces were conceived (A1 size posters).
I am currently in Vienna attending the July 24th press event for the announcement. I will be posting pics from the event as soon as I can so please be patient :)
I would like to thank Thomas Kritsch and the XBox 360 crew for their support / feedback / and contribution to this collabo. Also a shout out to photographer
Linda Dziacek http://photosyle.at for the photos.
Meanwhile you can check the press release following this url (sorry German only at the moment!): http://www.xbox.com/de-at/eepmon
eepmon x Mini Cooper (Canada)
Exclusive collaboration with Mini Cooper Canada. I created 13 illustrations for their 13 month calendar where each month contains a different illustration to compliment the Mini vehicle - a collaboration on our interests in mutidiciplinary aesthetics.
The physical size of each calendar are approximately 5x7 inches and fits nicely on a table. The calendars will be distributed across all Mini Cooper financial dealerships in Canada so if your in the area...be on the look out for one!
Finally a BIG shout out goes to the TAXI crew especially to Chris Zawada for making this collab possible! Its all about the late nighters!
I'll post the actual calendars when I get them, in the meanwhile please enjoy these images.

Emocapsule - Interactive Art Installation Video
April 2008 - Senior Project
For our graduating senior project, I've been working with my fellow comrades (Hannah Johnston, Alicia Landry, and Jordan Shaw) on an interactive art installation built in Processing. In a nutshell it is an interactive system where people can play around with text relating to certain emotions via input from the Internet. Color, sound, and text are affected by the emotions creating the overall ambience of the environment.
My role was lead developer for this project. As it was my first attempt in creating and developing an installation piece, I must say I've learnt a whole lot about it. Music credits goes to my fav artists Nujabes, Force of Nature and Fat Jon for O.S.T Samurai Champloo Impression album in this video. Enjoy!

Submission for Uniqlo UT Grand Prix 2008 (Japan)

Since 2005, Uniqlo has a design competition known as the Uniqlo UT Grand Prix.
The objective of this competition is to see the artist's vision/interpretation revolving around the idea of freedom of thought and the desire to make the most basic items of clothing "freer and more fun".
For the 2008 competition, I have created 4 designs for this all-encompass theme. Each design has a front and back graphic and is essentially an all over print design. 2 of the 4 are shown here.
